SLGA Conference Comes to Austin Nov. 8-10
The SLGA Conference in Austin, Texas on Nov. 8-10 is the only NAHB event tailored for HBA Government Affairs staff who are out in the states and local communities every day fighting the legislative and regulatory battles that the industry faces on a daily basis.
This year’s conference features a revamped design, including a two-track program of beginner and advanced sessions. With the new and exciting programs we’ve put together, you’ll leave Austin with many new sure-fire solutions to the problems you face every day. Some sessions will examine solutions to problems with growth issues, while others are designed to help you hone your political, lobbying and public relations skills.
Recently added is an optional, two-part “Land Development Boot Camp.” This intensive A to Z overview of the roll of government throughout the land development and site planning processes will take place on Friday afternoon. Whether you are new to the industry or just looking for a refresher course, this is a truly remarkable learning experience.
Additionally, this year’s conference offers numerous opportunities to network and share ideas with your colleagues from around the country. Whether it’s during one of the educational sessions, over lunch, in the newly created Cyber Café sponsored by U.S. Chamber of Commerce (www.friendsoftheUSChamber.com) or at the welcome reception on Thursday night, you’ll get to see old acquaintances and meet some new folks.
