Letter From the Chair
Welcome back to school and another exciting year for NAHB Student Chapters. By now, I’m sure you are into the swing of your busy academic schedules and coursework. I have always been impressed with the students we see coming through NAHB chapters. Each year we see a higher level of commitment to home building at the student level, and it makes me proud to find ways to help pave your educational path to success.
Perhaps there is no better time than now to remind you that during this hectic time of your life, paying for school doesn’t have to be an added burden for you. Your NAHB membership allows you access and preference to a handful of scholarships offered through the National Housing Endowment. They include:
· National Housing Endowment/Lee S. Evans Scholarship
· National Housing Endowment/Herman J. Smith Scholarship
· National Housing Endowment/Centex Homes Build Your Future Scholarship
· The NAHB Women’s Council/National Housing Endowment Strategies for Success Scholarship
Be sure to look into these scholarships. In the meantime, HBI and the National Housing Endowment will continue to find additional ways to help you pursue your dreams in home building, including our new version of the NAHB Past Presidents/National Housing Endowment Matching Funds Program, seen in this edition of Building Futures.
