Make the Most of IBS Activities!
It’s that time of the year again. The time of year when fall semester classes come to a close with a series of final exams, winter vacation plans are finalized and NAHB Student Chapters’ members look toward the International Builders’ Show (IBS) in January.

As you know, NAHB Student Chapters members have a variety of new activities that go above and beyond the already jam-packed IBS schedule. In fact, some say they have “a show within a show” to attend. The thrill of IBS for students extends from the first day of the Centex-sponsored Residential Construction Competitions on Tuesday until the Building Careers Job Fair on Thursday, with a load of activities in between.

I encourage all of you to make the most of your time at the show and take advantage of all the IBS has to offer. When not visiting the competition presentations, enjoy refreshments in the hospitality rooms, sponsored by KB Home and Toll Brothers. Be sure to bring your family and friends to Wednesday’s Awards Ceremony and Reception, sponsored by Beazer Homes and Pulte Homes respectively; this is where you will learn who won the variety of awards and scholarships offered by the student chapters program.

Good luck on your final exams, happy holidays, and I look forward to seeing you in Orlando next month.
