Letter From the Chair
On behalf of the Home Builders Institute and NAHB Student Chapters, I would like to welcome each of you back to school for the 2006-2007 year. NAHB Student Chapters members have always been an impressive group and those who have preceeded you have left a lasting legacy. From participating in competitions, community service, and other Chapter activities, you are ably preparing yourself to assume lasting careers in the home building industry.
Each student member of NAHB is tremendously valuable, representing the future generation of American home builders and the backbone of the building industry. HBI wants every Student Chapter member to take full advantage of their academic experience. We work with other extensions of NAHB, including the National Housing Endowment, to enhance your education by offering a variety of useful scholarships.
Please take the time to look over the scholarships currently being offered to Student Chapters members:
HBI will continue to find ways to help you build a career in home building. In the meantime, I wish all of you a great start to your fall semester and look forward to seeing you at the International Builders’ Show in February.
Sincerely,
Michael Sivage
Chairman, Home Builders Institute
