In this issue: Students Prepare for International Builders' ShowNAHB Student Members to Take on First 'Green'-Focused Challenge While NFL teams prepare for thier championship next month, fifty-eight schools are preparing to challenge Brigham Young University and Brigham Young University-Idaho for the first place finish in the Residential Construction Management Competition. Alongside the two- and four-year colleges, high schools will also compete for the traveling trophy, presented to Juneau Douglas High School in 2009. The competition will take place at the Las Vegas Hilton, Pavilions 9-11, from Jan. 19-21.
Student Chapters events at the IBS will culminate in an awards ceremony on Thursday, Jan. 21, in which outstanding NAHB student chapters and educators will be recognized for their year-long contributions to the program and their dedication to promoting residential construction. Everyone at IBS is welcome to attend the awards ceremony. Many of the NAHB Student Chapter members attending the show will receive financial assistance for their travel expenses from the National Housing Endowment.
